What happens during a veterinary examination?

When you come in, your vet will ask you the reasons for your visit so they can identify your pet’s needs. They will then perform a general examination or a more specific exam if your pet has a particular issue. During routine check-ups, the vet will examine your pet from nose to tail, along with their paws, to make sure they’re in good health.

Feel free to ask your vet questions and share any concerns or hesitations. They’ll be happy to respond and give advice.

After examining your pet, your vet will give you a summary of their observations. They might also recommend further tests such as blood work or urinalysis if needed.
