Blood Work

A simple method used to diagnose your pet's underlying issues.

Blood work is very useful for our veterinarians, as it provides a lot of information. It has many purposes, such as giving a diagnosis, providing baseline values and monitoring diseases. With our on-site labs, we can do various blood analyses right here at the clinic. We also work closely with pathologists at outside labs to perform more extensive tests.

How long does it take to get blood test results?

When we do blood work at our in-house lab, we can get the results within a few hours. For more extensive tests performed by outside pathologists, results usually take 2–7 business days.

How often should my cat or dog have blood work done?

It depends on your pet’s age and overall health. For older animals, we generally recommend annual blood tests so any changes can be detected early.
